Traditional fabric-folding methods are featured in the projects of "Folded Fbric Elegance" by Rami Kim. Fabric folding adds texture and dimension to quilted projects. Many techniques are featured including traditional Korean folding, American smocking, harlequin tucks, pinwheels and more. Many quilters are familiar with prairie points. There are so many more ways to create shapes with folded fabrics. Some of those include lotus blossoms, hexagons, Asheeya tulips, lightning bugs, continuous prairie points (many of these shapes are made from one piece of fabric, which is folded over and over) and more. If you want to experiment in fabric folding, making smaller projects before diving head-first into using a new technique in a quilt, look for "Folded Fabric Elegance" to show you the way.––SLH (Posted on 3/16/09)
