Take a simple patchwork quilt and adorn it with a single word to express yourself or to send a message to the recipient. Author Fran Morgan chose these words for the 12 different quilt projects-Believe, Faith, Grace, Hope, Inspire, Joy, Kindness, Love, Patience, Peace, Rejoice, and Truth. You can also create your own word from the alphabet provided. Or choose to create just the easy-to-make patchwork quilts and use only the dozen appliqué patterns of vines, flowers, and leaves for adornment.

- Simple Expression Quilts — Review by Patty Martin
- Simple, but very nice quilts that anyone, including a beginner quilter, can easily make. Each of the quilts can easily be made in any pallette of colors. Great quilts to make for yourself, as gifts, or for charity quilts. (Posted on 8/27/12)
- Simple Expression Quilts — Review by Kathie R Kerler
- The letters in the included alphabet are attractive and appropriate for a variety of quilt styles and sentiments. The quilt fabrics shown suggest a wide variety of styles and moods that could be created. For example, Inspire is created in an autumnal palette, Love in soft peach, and Truth in strong primary colors. (Posted on 6/29/12)
