Four Realistic Landscape Quilt Patterns — Review by Patty
Overall Rating
This book contains four realistic landscape patterns, one for each season. The cd includes the full size patterns. Instructions are included on creating these quilts. I like that she recommends using "your favorite applique method", raw edge, turned applique or a combination. (Posted on 3/27/16)

If you've ever wanted to create landscape quilts or have tried your hand at them with less than satisfactory results, this book is a great starting point. Kathy McNeil, a landscape master, has created four projects that achieve realism through fabric choice, value placement, and color gradation. Especially helpful are the fabric suggestions she makes for each quilt which may include scale of prints for specific elements, shading with fabric paint crayons, and how to achieve watery reflections. Quilting suggestions are included. (Posted on 5/17/15)
